US Dollar Index in session lows

17:38 |

The greenback, measured by the US Dollar Index, is grinding lower on Thursday, unable to gain any traction as risk-on trade was prevailing throughout the session.
Data from the US economy did not help the dollar either, as the trade deficit has widened in March, import prices fell and the weekly jobs report came in almost unchanged.

At the moment: AUD +0.85%, EUR +0.32%, GBP +0.29%, NZD +0.57%, CAD -0.26% CHF -0.27% and JPY +0.36%. Wall St. is up 0.82% at 12,909 pts. and S&P500 is advancing 0.85% at 1,363 pts. WTI is up 0.96% at $97.30 and Gold is up 0.58% at $1,600

The index is down 0.24% at 80.10 as of writing, with the next support at 80.04 ahead of 79.78 and 79.59
On the upside, resistance levels are located at 80.48, then 80.67 and finally 80.93
